Chicago is the third largest city which represents central part of the United States, after New York City in east and Los Angeles in West. The current median price is around $ 280,000 which is only half price of New York. It is only one-third of the housing prices in LA metro area. The average price is $ 420,000. The rate of increase in house prices is steadily decreasing from 2015 because the Inventories are also declining. The sale period would take an average of two months, but the sale period will increase in 2018. Chicago housing prices recovered 82% from the bottom of the financial crisis.
